WBC treating Jack like he's a superstar but he has no fan base whatsoever and is just a good to very good fighter way past his prime and far from being elite
Mikaelian shouldn't have been champion in the first place. Jack won the belt by knocking out Makabu, then 10 months later Mikaelian gets to fight for the vacant belt against Makabu? Then never defends it? Why was Makabu back in a title fight after getting knocked out and why was Mikaelian in a title fight for beating a washed up Kalenga? Why did they have to strip Jack so soon if they couldn't materialize their nonsense bridgerweight title fight in the first place?

Nothing about the WBC cruiserweight title picture has made sense for several years.

Not a lick of sense, but they aren't much better in other divisions either lol

I was at the rozicki fight last Saturday, he may be too much for jack at this stage. He will not stop coming, and if Rivas bombs didnt bother him Jack's wont either. Rozicki is crude af, but Jack wont have the legs to get out of the way of his sledgehammer style. Ryan would be easy work for the other champions though, which is a shame, because we have never had championship boxing in cape breton and it would be nice to see a few matches here.

The WBC may just let the draw be a reason to cast Rozicki aside and let Jack pursue a unification retirement fight. It'd be a bigger sanctioning fee for them to vampire off of.

it seems that you people haven't read news from wbc convention on this site.

as you should know, makabu was with don king. noel mikaelian (who was robbed years ago vs. briedis) signed with king to get that title shot. that's king's modus operandi. now surprise surprise noel has promotional problems and hopes to sort everything out without involving court. good luck with that. wbc named noel champion in recess and reinstated badou. since both badou and ryan rozicki were next in line for the title, wbc just ordered them to face each other. it's simple and the right thing to do. when noel is ready to fight again, he's the first in line and he would get 55% of the eventual purse bid.

this is actually the second best thing they decided at the convention after nery plata's situation.

What a mess, both Badou Jack at 41 years old and Noel Mikaelian have not been active recently. While Ryan Rozicki who deserves his shot is coming off a questionable controversial draw that he should had won against Yamil Peralta, surprising considering his won agaisnt Peralta in their first bout is considered a robbery. I expect:

Bodou Jack vs Ryan Rozicki June-July (Ryan needs to Recover) > Winner defends against Noel Mikaelian at the end of 2025.

Plus he fought through that absolutely horrific cut against Marcus Browne.

What the WBC has done today is a joke, but it does nothing to invalidate what Badou Jack has accomplished in his career. He has fought excellent competition and has carried himself with class. The WBC shouldn't have reinstated his title without making him fight for it, but Jack absolutely is deserving of a big fight. They promised him a shot at their nonsense bridgerweight belt and didn't deliver.
My bad, didn't mean to diminish the career or call in question his accomplishments. My point was that Jai has a better win on his record than anyone jack has Beaten and jack questioned his validity as a worthy champion. Seems out of touch. Breidis was the clear number 1, ring champion and is a better win than Bute, Dirrell, groves, Bute, Cleverly and Makabu.

Honestly I'm not sure what jack is after here? Money one would guess. But my guess is he ends up being embarrassed by a plodding fighter from my hometown ffs just like bhop smith jr.

I feel bad that noel signed with king...there is a reason king is investing in cruiser and regular hw titles...that's his pull now, ain't what it used to be that's for sure. He is just trying to stay relevant in lower money divisions, just go away ffs. The current promoters are bad enough. We dont need/want your antiquated manipulation as boxing has moved on to the next evolution of scumbags.

regardless of what happens in this fight it would be easy pickings for the other champs.

This buggers belief & stinks of corruption. Jack's not fought for 2 years & Rozicki's coming off a draw!
