While money-addicted salesman Hearn was wasting his time with that kid Parsons, persuading everybody he's "the best promoter in the world", Frank was taking over.

    Hearn "Icarused" himself.

We should cherish Warren if only because his manner is as terse as Hearn's is verbose.

It really is a great comeback.

About 15 years ago Warren was down and almost out. HIs stable was lacklustre, he had lost his biggest names and Eddie was slowly but surely taking over. About 12-ish years ago, Eddie delivered what he must have thought of as a KO blow by signing an exclusive Matchroom-Sky deal. The problem is Eddie got greedy and if anyone sees my old posts, I mentioned that the exclusive deal was a problem and then Eddie's almost complete neglect of small hall shows and the domestic scene which used to be present on Sky almost every or every other Saturday was going to hurt him. It did.

Eddie got all googoo eyed over the money coming from the Froch/Groves rivalry and then AJ. Too few eggs, just one basket.

Frank was relegated to building his own TV channel at the time which completely flopped but it did help keep him afloat financially and when BT sport came knocking he answered. By that time, he managed to get Fury on board...but of course a lot of this is also luck. A few years later the Saudis also came knocking and frank out manoeuvred young Eddie completely, has now signed up some of the best prospects in the UK and holds the very best in the heavyweight division.

Obviously the key to all this post 2020 is the Saudi money, once that dries up, and if Franky boy is still alive, so will his come back.
