That's the problem. He was never pressured. Artur, pressure was more of a plodding type of pressure. Where he would just follow Bivol around the ring without cutting it off.

While Beterbiev was the aggressor. However, at no point was he ever the effective aggressor. Dmitry landed the cleaner punches while landing them in combination bunches. He even snapped Artur's head back on multiple occasions as well.

I still say he did not do enough in those later rounds in order to the close the gap and win the fight. Due to Bivol building such a huge lead earlier.

Point blank he needed at least a knockdown or two or perhaps even knockout in order to have won that fight.

maybe a draw woudl have been a fair result in that fight????

bivol dropped off at the end for a reason???? possibly beters shots were chipping away at him he has power and it tells in the end

if bivol gave his best last fight then the result will be the same i would say we shall see surely beter also has to slow down at his age as well!!!! amazing conditioning really

I believe Bivol will box and will fully understand that his workrate will need to increase to get the nod. There is a big difference between knowing and doing in this instance though. The main reason this went to the cards was that Beterbiev did not land one of those right behind the ear shots. You can be nearly perfect the entire fight and one of those can change the outcome. That is why I feel Bivol has a monstrous challenge ahead of him with increasing the workrate.
I do not need fireworks in this fight. The true intrigue lies in the nuances of an incredibly intelligent battle!

But this time Bivol is getting a 100% injury free Beterbiev
King Artur with a late stoppage

Another great fight that goes the distance and the great thing here is there's an equal argument for both to win ... what a bill.

I agree. Perhaps, Beterbiev power did help slow him down in the later rounds; Especially his jabs. However, as far as power punches he connected or landed no way.

Dmitry just wouldn't sit still enough for him to land those type of power shots to the head. If Bivol can somehow manage to keep the entire fight in the center the ring without his back touching the ropes then he wins by a landslide.

I say that because Dmitry has the faster hands and feet. In addition, he is the more flexible and versatile of the two. He can also box. Artur only fights in one gear and that is to rip his opponent's head off.

Yes, it was a high quality fight, but not the most entertaining. Compare it to an epic battle like Tyson Fury vs Wlad, who in 2015 served up 12 rounds of pure entertainment as well as skill, whereas Bivol and Beterbiev brought the skill, but little entertainment. Beterbiev wins by late stoppage in a more one-sided rematch. Nash out - His Majesty

Gotta try and chuck a few more punches in his combinations, tough one but reckon he will get the nod this time

Why? It wasn’t exactly Joe’s most entertaining fight. Hopkins was just spoiling for most of it.
