U act as if Pac Man's entire career is built on catch weights. How many catch weight fights did he do, total? I would argue the opposite. His career is built on him being a naturally smaller man moving up in weight and kicking everyone's ass in his path, no matter how big they were.

The reason for that catchweight was that just a little over 5 months b4 he fought delahoya, he fought David Diaz weighing only 134 1/2 lbs. So he was taking a big risk fighting Delahoya after being a lightweight just 5 months prior, and he made oscar quit on the stool. Just 3 months b4 he fought David Diaz, he weighed only 129 lbs. against Marquez. That means just 8 months b4 he fought DeLaHoya, he fought at only 129lbs. So do you think when you put it in context that way, he was smart to ask for a catchweight for Oscar? The reason for Cotto catchweight is that Cotto is a very dangerous man, period. He can literally destroy you. And Pac Man was smaller-- shorter and lighter in weight. However, Cotto would have possibly lost to that version of PacMan anyway. That was him at his peak.
