Exactly! Fatherless homes, thug culture, and feeling you are owed something.

I see this in my family. But, in general, my younger cousins realize that when you bust your azz, good things usually happen.

They also know, if you do ****** criminal stuff, bad things will almost always happen.

What about the countless non ********ic communities impacted by the heroin epidemic?

If we talk about crime, we should talk about all of it, not just isolate cities or urban areas.
From what I recall they don't hold people for a lot of the crimes and dont even lock people up either, in NY that is.

Eric Adams aide mugged at gunpoint in NYC

One of Mayor Eric Adams’ aides was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday morning while scouting a location in Brooklyn ahead of a planned visit by Hizzoner, law enforcement sources told The Post.

The aide, a civilian member of Adams’ advance team, was mugged by two men who approached him as he stood on a traffic island at the intersection of Navy and York streets around 10:30 a.m., sources said.

The crooks demanded his wallet and cellphone, and pushed him to the ground when he refused to hand them over, sources said.

The robbers then grabbed the items and fled, with one — described as a black male wearing a blue and white sweatshirt — making his getaway on a Citi Bike, sources said.

The other suspect was described as a black male wearing sunglasses and a blue mask.

The victim, 33, walked one block south to the Sands Street entrance to the former Brooklyn Navy Yard, where he found a security guard and called 911, source familiar with the incident said.

The site is undergoing a $2.5 billion redevelopment that included the 2019 opening of the Big Apple’s first Wegmans supermarket, which proved wildly popular and led the grocery chain to announce another outlet in Manhattan set to open next year.

Tuesday’s mugging came amid a surge in crime since Adams, a former NYPD cop, was elected last year after running on a pledge to restore law and order to the Big Apple.

As of June 26, major crimes across the five boroughs are up 37.8% this year compared to the same period in 2021, with robberies up an even higher 39.4 percent, according to official NYPD CompStat data.

The victim was identified by sources as a 33-year-old city employee who was hired by former Mayor Bill de Blasio last year.

He formerly worked for the start-up Alliance of American Football, which was launched in February 2019 but went bust before finishing its scheduled 10-week, inaugural season, a former City Hall colleague confirmed.

City Hall didn’t immediately return a request for comment.

Nah man Im with Big DUMB Dumb!!! It's the police is fault. There job should be to look the other way, give criminals free rides to the store and back, buy them a 40 bottle here and there. Ask them nicely PLEASE don't do anything illegal today, stash guns for them if needed, and wipe down any finger prints. OP p

Heck really help teach them how to shoot better and inspect their illegal guns to make sure its safe and accurate to use...

Yup blame police because without them there would be NO CRIME!

          Dumb Dumb gets it.

The new mayor is a retired cop who promised safer streets. Just a tad of irony here.

Well I get that. I just think you are kinda rooting for him to fail, knowing your hatred for NY. Personally I think we should be looking at the Red and Blue states and cities to succeed. It's time to put all the petty politics and bullshlt aside and become a more cohesive nation. Don't you agree?

If everyone keeps pushing divide, things will never get better. You're a grown man so of course do what you want, but it starts with all of us ordinary citizens.
