Ali vs Holmes - who wins?

Does any1 here give Holmes any chance of beating Ali.
    Both in their prime.

Holmes from his sparring sessions looks awesome, and fights in a similar fashion to Ali.

Prime Ali always take to mean the pre-exile Cleveland Williams fight. That being the case, as good as Larry was, Ali would be took quick and too slick for Holmes. Holmes was pretty quick too, and arguably hit harder, but I think Ali takes it a unanimous decision in a competitve fight.

ali= hard to hit with straight rights, but against left hookers he sumtimes got caught

holmes= he got hit with right hands by shavers, tyson....and thats alis best punch

So i give this to prime ali, besides being wayy faster than holmes, he would overwhelm him with punches from all angles and get stoppage in later rounds.

Ali and Holmes fighting each other in their prime would be like fighting their reflections in the mirror. Ali was so cunning he would've eeked out a narrow decision over Holmes.

Similar styles, but a mid 60's Ali was simply too quick, agile and hard to hit for Holmes. Would have been a boxing clinic from both fighters and I don't think Holmes would have been stopped, that excellent jab of his keeping Ali's power away. Ali MD 15.

It would have been difficult for Ali to get away from that superb jab. But I could definitely see Ali getting the decision

I agree with the "prime" Ali being the Cleveland Williams fight. The prime Holmes is a bit more difficult. Here's why...Ali had 2 careers, the 1st being the slick boxer and the second (where his legend was made) was after the exile. The 1970's - 1980 Ali was more cunning and a genius in the ring. He took lots of fierce punishment in getting close decisions (Norton) and took even more punishment in some of his wins (Frazier 3 and Foreman). Holmes, on the other hand, just seemed to be getting more and more in that grove of his where he for the most part dominated, albeit inferior competion with the exception of Shavers.
In their primes, I would say that Ali eeks out a razor thin decision. If Ken Norton gave Ali fits, imagine what the far superior Holmes would do.

holmes jab was better than ali's... i love the easton assassin, he's one of the most underrated hw champs in history but i think terry's right
