No question it was Moorer. Two PPV fights with Holyfield, the big fight with Foreman. Moorer made some very good money during his run.

      - - Moorer has the better career and win, but was dragged down by his unfortunate choice of Looney Teddy who never trained a fighter he could not mentally beat down.

Byrd a speedy feather fisted runner in turn was dragged down by his unfortunate choice of DKing as his promoter.

In short, better career choices would've better enhanced their fight choices.

Moorer's best win, prime Holyfield. Byrd's best win, prime Vits. Overall resume at heavyweight, about equal. Moorer edges it by beating a legend. Jmo.

Got to be Moorer. He became the heavyweight champion of the world, a title older than the Papacy. Byrd never got that far.

Does being unbeaten at light heavy help Moorer too?

For me, no. I'm just judging by his heavyweight resume and accomplishments.

Ah, got it. And even with that, still better, cool.

Add to it Moorer was a lineal champion while Byrd only held a paper title.

I can't remember, he won it from a washed Holyfield right, the vacant belt?
