Why does nobody talk about Mickey Walker?

I hardly ever hear Walkers name come up amongst the greatest middleweight and p4p fighters. I know his name is there but he seems seldom discussed considering his accomplishments and p4p achievements. Hell Walker was a small middleweight and drew with Jack Sharkey at heavyweight. His resume is very impressive and he beat top fighters from Welter to heavyweight.

Noticed the same thing around here. For an ATG he does not get much attention from your boys..

I remember an active poster here with the username Mickey Walker. That was cool, his presence always reminded me of the great fighter.

            No controversy!

Other than the Greb fight I can't think of a 'big fight' he was in.

He did beat Greb's nemesis, Tiger Flowers.

Dropped a decision to Young Corbett III (who also seems to have been better than remembered.)

He fought a who's who of middleweight, light heavies and heavyweights with more wins than losses. His resume isn't in Greb's league but it's nothing to sneeze at.

Dog, everybody has Mickey high on the all-time list. let's also remember the MW division, is one of the richest in boxing history. so, if someone ranks him as #5. That is damn good.

I get it, but he is rarely ever discussed.
