Comments Thread For: Amir Khan Welcomes Conor Benn's Provocations, But Cautions That A Fight May Ruin His Career

Amir Khan clearly has no qualms about acknowledging the bold challenges of boxing's up-and-coming generation of hungry fighters. Indeed, Khan, a former 140-pound titleholder, recently had nothing but praise for British compatriot Conor Benn, the 24-year-old welterweight prospect

I like the Khan vs Benn fight. Khan doesn't have much of a chin, but neither does Benn, so if Khan could get his combos going, it's a fight he can win. 50-50.

“It might be a little bit too early for him in his career [to fight me],” said Khan. “You can end up ruining your career, and I don’t want him to do that. So, maybe the best thing that happens is that he doesn’t fight me." - Amir Khan

Calling out Porter, that was a step too far! Calling out Khan, excellent choice! Fighting Granados, after all that yip yap, WEAK!!!

Khan may could actually beat Benn at this stage but then again Benn could possibly knock Khan out. I honestly wouldnt mind seeing this fight.

Khan is too chimney, might get knocked out. But he had a decent career, he probably wants to cash out with an all British bout with Brook.

Both guys should retire, and don't have more damage to their health.

Why doesn't Benn call out Avanesyan? Instead he calls out shot to pieces Khan smh.

Khan would be a decent step up for benn, recognised name, at this stage with khans inactivity, i think benn sends khan on his way in to retirement, cant see khan fighting anyone other then Brook who finally stopped showing interest in him, rightly so.

Khan just sounds like he wants to settle on his sofa and watch TV. He doesn't seem to have any spark in him.

Random, but the fact Khan somehow got in the ring less than three months after the embarrassing loss to Crawford against Dib still amazes me. What a guy lol.

Why doesn’t Benn call out Jarron Ennis?
