Exactly. Janibek isn’t so good where I would think for one second he doninates Charlo or Adames. I was ringside for his last fight against that scrub he unified against. He’s a decent fighter.

    I like Charlo’s odds.

If he fights like he did vs Canelo at 168 saying his hands are full is optimistic.

I think he'd be a nice addition to the division but knowing if hes focused after his lack of drive to fight Tim & his lack of drive at fighting Canelo is an open question these days.

If hes focused I think he creates some good matchups that he may or may not win but will be competitive. If hes not hes a resume builder for the lesser known 160 guys who need a name like Mell on their record.

I still think an inactive, semi-retired 42 year old GGG has enough to probably break down and stop Jermell within the 12 round distance.

Janibek is probably the toughest fight out there tho at 160 right now. But the middleweight division isn't really that deep right now and really does need names and exciting fighters to elevate it because it has always been a great division so to see it slide over the past couple years hasnt been great

You talking about Lara, the same guy that got robbed against Canelo and GGG refused to fight? Even at his age, Lara beats Charlo no heart easily...

              Lara has a head.

These Charlo brothers never had any problem with the availability of fights at PBC in and around their divisions unlike non-PBC guys. But they'd rather choose to stay inactive. Jermell can have plenty of fights to choose from whether it be 154, 160 or 168.

When he invoked his right as champion in recess in the Madrimov/Crawford fight, doesn't that mean he intends to come back at 154? Why are people talking about Lara, Janibek, etc.?

Lara and janibek are belt holders along with adames.

Charlo invoked a right that he thought he had to throw up a roadblock for Crawford fighting for the title, just as Spence tried to cut in line ahead of Crawford a few weeks before that. I think there was somebody behind the scenes advising them to do so. I don't think either Charlo or Spence are planning a ring return anytime soon.
