I don't think at this point in his career, that he wants to go through Boots, and Ortiz, or even Fundora...just to get to Canelo. That will be a two year journey. He'd be 38+ by then. I think he'd rather face Canelo, and work his way backwards should he continue to fight one opponent at a time.
P.S. While Crawford would have trouble with Munguia, he'd totally outclass Plant.
Canelo VS Bud is not a mismatch. If it was, Canelo would take that fight and money the way he did with Amir Khan (A Mere Con).
Crawford should get on his knees and ask his master Turki to pay him. Pay him vs Ennir or Ortiz since Turki is supposedly so rich and wants those fights.
Crawford struggles with an Amature at 154, no where the level of a Canelo at 168. Crawford is not that great, he beat a Weight Drained, Drunk, Crash Dummy, one eye, one year of inactive Spence and you get all wet for that victory.
Honestly I hope the fight Happens so people can see the result. Crawford can't hurt Canelo and Canelo can Flaten Crawford. Crawford doesn't have Mayweather footwork and Crawford is not facing an inexperienced 23 yr old Canelo.Last edited by boxingitis; 08-27-2024, 10:54 PM.

And I dunno, but Crawford is a boxer who takes pride, currently, in being a boxer....and not an exhibition joke. As undefeated as Floyd is, he's not in my top 10 fighters of all time list. After he beat DLH, he stopped daring to be great.
Bud dares to be great. I hope he does get that fight with Canelo next....so the world can be entertained. This fight can go either way in my opinion....but I'm giving the edge to Crawford.

Berlanga trying to pull a Juan Diaz would be like me jumping into a 2005 Nissan Sentra, getting up on the freeway and trying to floor it at 80 mph. Is it going to get up there? Yes. Is the car going to start shaking like it’s convulsing? You bet your ass it will.
It’s going to be shaking and trembling like a spaceship trying to enter lightspeed…on the verge of completely disintegrating.PRvazquez likes this.

Same. People bring up his 11 fights like he’s a bum or something. He’s not going to have main****** appeal, but it’s irrelevant. The guy is a super tricky fighter and I’d also pick him to EASILY beat Fundora, Spence, and Charlo. Tsyzu I think it’d be competitive. But he outclasses the other three.

Ah, yes. The ol’ “keep punching til’ he wilts” strategy. I remember when Kirkland came out of the gate doing that. He was probably one of the most spectacular KO’s of Canelo’s career.

The real question should be, would you still care about Berlanga to believe he can become something great if he's continues to box after being brutally KO'd? Dude is quite young in the sport and to be sent to the void at an early age basically means, he came and went. Granted, he's getting a massive paycheck, so he won't feel too bad about it, but his future drawing power will probably take a massive hit.
