Comments Thread For: Eddie Hearn 'still talking' to make 'Boots' Ennis-Brian Norman Jr.

Matchroom are continuing their efforts to make a unification fight between Jaron "Boots" Ennis and Brian Norman Jr. Ennis' promoters have targeted a date of November 9 in Philadelphia, the 27-year-old Ennis' home city and the location of his stoppage in July of David Avanesyan on the occasion of his first defence of the IBF welterweight title.

Eddie Hearn, GET IT DONE!!! WBO Champion is perfect, because they have that "elevation clause," which would allow Boots to become the mandatory for the WBO Champion @ 154!That's great because if Stanionis and Barrios (Who should be fighting each other, not Pacquiao) don't want to unify, Boots has a great Plan B!

Het top rank don't make that fight. Hearn told Boots he would get him fights and never mentioned he would have to beg Bob and Al to get them!

Both sides claim to want it , what's the holdup ? Make it happen. It would be an interesting fight , I'd definitely be looking forward to it.

Money... Hearn doesn't have the money to satisfy both sides for a relatively low profile unification like this without getting the Turki involved.

Eddy always bragging about the offers he makes that nobody wants to accept, but he can always find a scrub. Eddy wont pay to get his guy beat, that goes against his grain. He hires winners and only a shocking upset will change it.

This is a damn good fight between two undefeated, (but untested champions at least some would say).
It is a true test to find out who the best fighter is in the welterweight division, and I can't wait to see this fight happen!
I'm leaning towards Ennis winning this encounter simply, because he has better reflexes, and defense.
That said Norman is going to give him a serious run for his money. It's do, or die come unification fight night!

I don’t see why this is so tough to make other than Bob has internal plans for Norman ( Teo) and is using this ‘negotiation ‘ process to gain attention for Norman, who isn’t well known.

This should be on the Usyk v Fury card or on Tank’s next card.

Boots isn’t untested. His last 4 fights were all against legit top 10-15 guys in the division, just not p4p level guys. Maybe we haven’t been able to get the fights we want with Boots but that doesn’t make him untested.
