Comments Thread For: The final disappearing act of Vasiliy Lomachenko
When Vasiliy Lomachenko boxed, time slowed down and for a few dazzling moments, the fight game stopped being a business or a war. It became a kind of dance.

Lomachenko was the most sophisticated technician I’ve ever seen in the ring and, relative to the limitations imposed by his physical dimensions, possibly the most skilled too.
Under the same circumstances, I’m not sure any other fighter in history would have won the fights that Lomachenko lost, and I thought he only lost one of them, barely, after he threw out his lead shoulder at the close of the second round, the type of injury that caused Vitali Klitschko to quit against Chris Byrd.
Incredible fighter. Professional boxing never really deserved him.
Great article by an obvious Loma fan! He lost to Haney fair and square. Even one of his biggest fans, Tim Bradley later had to admit Haney's body shots were the deciding factor. Just as many boxing fans and other boxers saw it as well. Loma was a tremendous boxer and it's shame he was overhyped by a large group of "race fans" who made a shrine of him next to Ali, Mayweather, SRL and SRR way too soon. Loma's pro career fell woefully short of Hall of Fame worthiness.

He was underhyped by a "large group of race fans " Most definitely deserves and will be a first ballot Hall of Famer. And yes, robbed against the overhyped Haney.
Yea he did some moves in the ring that people did not even req but those that did see it for what he was never forgot it, solid fighter will be remembered. Dont recall him getting into any trouble when to spoke either people who over praised him did but he himself.
Pound for pound the most talented fighter ever made. Nobody in history had the physical tributes, ring IQ, and imagination that Loma had. Best wishes in retirement Champ.
