Comments Thread For: Weights From Mexico: A. Hernandez 108, J. Rivera 107

Adrian Hernandez and Janiel Rivera both made weight in advance of their 108 lb. title fight Saturday evening in Huixquilucan, Mexico.

Hernandez (28-2-1, 17KO) came in at the divisional limit of 108 lb. for what will serve as the fourth defense of the title he regained more than 15 months ago. Puerto Rico's Rivera came in at a trim and ready 107 lb. for his first title fight and just second overall fight in Mexico.

Their scheduled 12-round title fight airs live on Televisa in Mexico. [Click Here To Read More]

That is crazy, the last time I was 108lbs I was maybe 12 years old.

Is there a height limit in boxing? I just realized that as freakishly light as they are, a 4 foot dwarf who came in at that weight would probably be pretty buff.

it's weird when you think about it,a grown man weighing 108 pounds, even when they aren't fighting they probably weigh like 125,it's still hard to imagine a man weighing that,i remember watching aj banal and nonito years ago at an event and when they walked by me they just looked so small, like the body of a 12 year old

These guys are crazy small. When I saw Narvaez in NY, I looked so much taller in comparison and I'm only 5 feet 6

Adrian Hernandez is actually really tall for his weight. He is listed at 5'8" and usually is much taller than his opponents. He towered over Kompayak Porpramook, who is about 5' even. But Rivera is surprisingly taller than Hernandez. I haven't seen him fight but I didn't expect him to be bigger than him. Hernandez isn't that great, but I hope he wins so he can to to Japan and fight Inoue Naoya.
