Crawford is a top 5 p4p guy but hasn’t proven himself at 147 yet.

I think there’s a chance this division isn’t actually tough and that perception was created by promoters and their commentators pushing a narrative.

None of these guys have proven themselves, except Pacquiao, and he’s 40-something with a loss to Jeff Horn.

First off, Pac proved himself literally a decade ago, so that statement is dumb.

Secondly, PAC didn’t lose to Horn he was robbed in a hometown cooked fight put together by Bob Arum.

As I’ve stated before, there’s never been any indication of decline in skill and talent in regards to PAC throughout the years, only thing that changed was his killer mentality after the KO loss to Marquez.

And again, I’ve been saying this already. The WW division has been overrated, and Pac even at age 41, still smashes through them all.

It’s going to change when fighters like Ennis, V. Ortiz, R. Garcia and Haney mature, at least I hope so.

my theory is that most peoples favorite division is the one where the guys are the same size as them.

so you see big fat guys root for the hws as the best guys, and the hobbit sized manlets being big fans of the little guys (105-130lbs). king of manlets go for 147 which is probably the median of the male population and the non-manlets usually root for mw-lhw,

            A gift from his country.

Put that fight in U.S, Mexico, Puerto Rico, or any other boxing country, that fight is automatically a DQ win in favor of Pacquiao.
Well he still lost. Sorry to say he did not dominate Horn as he was expected the fight was close and horn was roughing him up being extremely dirty but pac man did not fight fire with fire and left it in the judge’s hands.

Big fights don’t really happen in Puerto Rico or Mexico and the US has had much more than its share of wtf decisions.

Also if we’re gonna use location then Márquez would’ve gotten the nod over pac in Mexico lol if they would’ve fought there.

Lastly while I get your point boxing is subjective according to whomever the judges are and like in certain fights but a loss is a loss weather we like it or not because when a fighter we like gets a close win we justify it but when they lose we complain. It reminds me of politics in America we don’t vote but then we complain about the person who won the election.

Crawford, Pacquiao, Spence, Thurman, Porter and Garcia. It's not like Leonard, Hearns, Duran and Benitez but it still has a ton of potential. The disappointment will be that the talent filled division will not face each other.

No points deducted. Highly suspect refereeing, after elbows and headbutts to the head which was no accidental and was blatant intentional.

As I said, referees in boxing country would notice this immediately and take action.

... Dan Rafael scored the fight 117-111 and ESPN analyst Teddy Atlas scored it 116-111, both for Pacquiao. The Guardian, like Rafael, also scored the fight 117-111 in favor of Pacquiao, as did IBT.

... they'll tell that was "rough house", "old school", etc... (many did already regarding some Ward's fights)...
