Football is at its dullest right now imo at the top levels but even then it guarantees for everybody that watches it and cares deeply about it - euphoria. Genuine euphoria.

    Football is tribalism and euphoria.

There is certainly a tribal aspect to it, more so than most sports. Good reply.

      Football is definitely tribal.

Someone tell me how both Mancs are beneath Chelsea and this is probably the absolute worst Chelsea in my lifetime

It is made how many games the conference league has to get to the inevitable final of:

        Chelsea vs Betis/Fiorentina.

Literally not 1 shock result in the whole thing.

The whole thing just smack of us getting done by Antony in the final somehow

Went to the Chelsea game. Awful stuff really.

          A weak, unwatchable team.

The thing is I think most Chelsea fans will tell you top 6/7 is probably about par. We have a crap goalie, crap centre backs, and a crap striker.

The issue is how is that possible with the money spent?

Compounded by hiring an arrogant, obnoxious manager who plays football in the worst possible way. Now his 'style' had taken hold.

Football really needs to move on from managers like Maresca.

I spent 150 all in on the game. I suppose it was entertaining in a way because I was hammered but you can't play football like Chelsea and expect support. They are 14th in the form table and Maresca appears to criticise the fans on questioning how s.hit they and he is.

Chelsea will sack him and he will end up absolutely nowhere.

It is mad how arrogant managers are these days.

The best ones often don't have a cookie cutter philosophy e.g Ancelotti, Conte, Jose and Tuchel. Yet this absolute bum does? He needs to grow up. He is going to be getting lit up every single Chelsea game now until he gets sacked by any Chelsea fan who has paid a pound note.

Hell yeah. Took a trip back down to the bridge had to be nostalgia a bit no?

Also, I've read that they are going to change how Chelsea do match day tickets. Going to be using Ticketmaster now or something. I'll finally be able to get a Chelsea ticket in London probably.

If Chelsea do sack him, Maurizio Sarri is probably the only person who can muster something out of this group of players who have been taught for a year how to play this kind of stagnant football.

            Unrelated:

I feel like Chelsea myself these days. Had a roster of 7 birds and now all gone.

I guess I kept my promise at the beginning of the season because I think I probably got more poon than Chelsea matches watched this season

Spending 150 to watch a team with top-tier investment play such disjointed football is understandably frustrating—especially when fans feel unheard and the manager seems stuck in a rigid system that doesn't suit the squad. Chelsea supporters expect more, not just in results but in effort and connection.

The effort and connection are definitely gone at Chelsea.

The new owners have pretty much uprooted everything Roman and Chelsea roots, and got rid of it. The Roberto Di Matteo days as a Chelsea player? They even removed that DNA.

This Chelsea with Boehly and BlueCo. I do not see that identity of a scrappy club that keeps trying to the end. It's not there anymore and I think even the match day goers can feel it probably.

Sounds hot. Just out of curiosity, how does one remove the "DNA" of Roberto Di Matteo?

                    Skin cells.

                    I agree with Flicker though.

I'm trying to adjust to Chelsea just being an average side now - . Doesn't matter how much these bells have spent - it's an u-23 team and only 1 player in the entire squad has won anything in his life.

I dont even think theyll win that conference league. Finals are tight and they'll bottle it.

We're another Spurs already. I wouldnt expect us to win any game against a good, motivated opponents when the pressure is on.

I'd be stunned if Spurs beat United in that final and I'd be almost as surprised if we beat Real Betis. Both games will be close but you can fully expect Spurs and Chelsea to s.hit themselves.

Jesus, I totally forgot about the conference thing lol

I think they should go back to the old European format.

European cup for league champions and runners up

Europa for 3 to 6th place teams

Cup Winners Cup for the domestic cup winners

The champions league is so bloated and next year will have 6 english teams entering. That's just too much.
