The movie should have won awards, it perfectly mixed comedy with drama. The movie is actually sad asf but is so funny people forget that aspect of it.

Biscuit killing himself cuz he was afraid of his family not accepting him so he didn't want to leave, then how even the Warden and guard didn't want to shoot him.
Eddie and Martin losing there lives for something they didn't do, and getting out and seeing how life past then by.
Can't get Right and the white Girl having a kid and they wanting to be with each other but he couldn't claim the baby or he would have been killed. The scene was overshadowed by Bernie "I'm the pappy line"
Also the acting was top notch. People don't even realize Rick James was in the damn movie. Can't get right and his nonverbal acting was great also
All the themes in the movie wasn't forced and was natural Themes of Racism, friendship, life and death, ****phobia and pride everything flowed together seamlessly.
