How come the NBA has far less parity than the NFL?

6 people start in the NBA, vs 22 in the NFL when you factor in 11 for offense and 11 for defense. Also on both ends players cycle in and out of a NFL game far more than in a basketball game. In the NFL you need a good defense and a formidable offense to be competitive, in the NBA, you need Durant, Lebron, and Davis, and your team is playoff/championship bound.

Why is the parity much less in the NBA compared to the NFL?
You get one game to get it right in the NFL. You get 7 in the NBA.

Maybe they don't have as strong a union?

If you are speaking of how much they are paid simply compare the 2 sports physically.

How often does an NBA professional retire with a destroyed body after playing many years?

You bump in to some guy and it's a foul in the NBA. The play has only started when you are bumping/smashing in to people in the NFL.

And then compare which venues each sport is played at.

Who has the bigger venues? That equals more money.
