    Question for Puerto Ricans...

I was never able to get a straight answer. Why does Puerto Rico want to use the U.S. currency and be protected by the U.S. but not become a part of it?

you shouldn't be asking questions about things you for 1. dont care about bro..

On that note theres a lot of people that do want to become a state and a lot of others that would rather die before they see that. I'm neutral i guess. How come nobody ever asks questions like this about the ****** islands or Panama using US currency?

Status quo seems to be working. Leave well enough alone I say.

How do you know if i care or not? It was something i was taught in school and it interested me. So many people from so many countries want to go to the u.s. to live a "better" life. You should think before you judge.

In PR there are three major political parties that control everything.

            1. Estadistas or Pro-Statehood. They represent 45% of the voters. They actually want to be a state. Ironically most cant even speak english. Being a states means that the english will be the official language. They want a lot of benefits and a believe US being the best country in the world and a lot of other things they believe in and trust and more bla bla bla. Every time I listen to one of them speaking I tell them to US have 50. Pick one and move.

            2. Estadolibrista, ELA, Populares. This are a bunch of leeches. Around 45%. They want to be independent but with the protection of the US. They dont even know what they want really. Many are in love with the political party because of Luis Munoz Marin and all he did for their parents and grand parent. This people I respect less than the Estadistas. Estadistas know what they want. This punks dont want to loose their national sports team. They dont want to loose their identity but they want to be part of the states. It is like when you move out of parent house but they still pay for your rent and other utilities. Even thou you work, you need that extra cash to be living a good life.

            3. Independentista. Indpendent party. They have a mess. They are like 5%. Deep down inside, Populares are like them, but this people will do anything to have a free country (macheteros and some bombers back in the 70's, ********* type). They want to be call a free country. They are compose by most of the smartest people in the island. However, their socialist goals dont help them move on and help the party grow.

            4. The other 5% dont care. They dont give a damn what is happening. They just want to live and live right.

I can say that probably 85% are proud ricans. But we are **********. All is great and all we do is better, that is the motto. We enjoy the best of two world and we dont give a damn what others perceived about us. Even thou political status dont seem like right, we are free people and we decide what we want everyday. For good or for bad, we are who we are and we will enjoy our blessings to the end.

Im not Puerto Rican, but its hard to believe que quieran dejar de ser nacin y convertirse en provincia. They will be the first in thousands of years of history.
