If I fought MMA, I'm wearing Timbs in the Octagon and I'm doing foot stomps

    Straight like that

No shoes allowed I believe. They were allowed in the early days of UFC, but you were not allowed to throw kicks. Shamrock wore shoes in his first bout with Gracie

You will wear whatever you want to wear, you will still get funked up. The round starts and Chollo Vista gets ktfo.

An amateur would spark you out quick.

A professional would slap you like you're returded while funking you up something terrible.

These are trained fighters, it's what they do day in and day out.

No foot stomp for Mr Never Trained a day in his life.

Dreams, some of us have the ballz to walk in them, while others just talk sheet.

Not sure why he wore them in the rematch then

I think it was something about being able to get better traction on the mats back then.

You have better takedown defense with shoes on also helps punching . The canvas is a bit padded more then a regular boxing mat still but it helps . It should actually be allowed and discretion to the fighter not to use high kicks in agreement to wearing shoes it takes away from others strengths . Bare footing gets slippery and much harder to pivot and really brace yourself for a strike . Fighting in a padded mat is like fighting in sand compared to shies in a boxing ring .

The last grappling championship I was in years ago no shoes allowed . I walked on the Mat which was about 4 inches of padding which was horrendous I was out of breath in about 2 minutes in a 5 minute bout ,managed to survive a draw and called it quits after that not returning for any other ones .

The guy I drew against won in his class it was no Gi and about 100 degrees in this place . So I felt good about that but the point is not wearing shoes can be a huge detriment ,if I had them on it would have been lights out for my opponent because I nearly submitted him in the first 30 seconds with a front choke but lost my footing he was about to tap .

Savate fighters kick each other while wearing shoes all the damn time.

Have the local commissions or the UFC outlawed the shoes aspect?
