in boxing with some guys it dont matter how they get there attention-- as long as they get people to either hate them or love them that is all that matters it allows them to feel important and it gets people to pay some attention to them. All so they can sell another fight on nothing much but talk.

I guess he wanted to just walk off, which he's allowed to do. Kinda like Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton at the end of their mma fight in the movie Warrior.

You're the former unified HW champion of the world! Helenius is low on the totem pole, yet you fought him like he was a dangerous threat, after Wilder KO'd him in one round. I was impressed that you knocked him out with one big punch, but he shouldn't have been able to bloody your nose like that. If Wilder catches you like Helenius did, he'll knock your head off. No disrespect, but you've got to step it up, brother!
It's HW boxing. Someone bloodying your nose, even if they are low on the totem pole, is no shocker.

Joshua is being a bit thin skinned with his comments here and probably needs to regain some perspective with regards to what being popular with the paying public means to him, but there is nothing wrong with taking seven rounds to break down an opponent.

He was bleeding profusely from the nose. I've never seen him that bloody, even in the losses to Usyk, where he was getting tagged a lot.

Taking 7 rounds to dispatch Helenius, who is Wilder's former sparring partner, AND taking damage raises eyebrows. Especially when it's the former unified HW champion of the world whom we're talking about. Even Hearn said AJ took one or two rounds too long to get Robert outta there.

I actually thought he bled just as much from the nose in the Franklin fight, but maybe it was the white shorts that made it look worse! Yes, the success Helenus was having can't be totally dismissed. The damage he did to Joshua's eye was more of a concern than the nose, IMO, but I still don't think the number of rounds it took is too significant. Joshua does need to force himself to use more head movement or it could be a major problem vs Wilder (should it happen).

That's right, the eye was swollen. We may not agree on the rounds it should have taken, but I think we do agree that he took too many shots from Helenius. And we agree that AJ can't afford to take shots from Wilder. I think Deontay starches him. A few years ago, I wouldn't have believed that.

                    It's certainly a possibility.
