If California is so progressive why have they only had white men as their governor?

Well, yeah that's not right, if they feel they're strategically drawing the borders to reduce a demographic in a certain era them of course its wrong.

Then again, its not necessarily supressing the vote, they would still vote, it would just be on a different place on the electoral map, which is a man made map either way, no matter who drew the lines. But I don't think they should be strategically re-drawn.

So its a slightly disingenuous way to put it to make it sound like certain people cant vote. Nobody's voting rights have even taken away in this case....

The only cases I've heard of people having their right to vote is when states like Florida had removed the rights for felons to vote....and people claimed it was to stop a lot of black voters. But that rule was for felons, it applied to every colour. So anyome who believed it was to stop black voters is really saying black people commit more crimes.

This always felt like a D thing more than a race thing to me cuz ppl who live in poverty often vote D more often, regardless of race, so R ppl are cool getting all these ppl in the system who surely trend greatly towards poverty level, out of the voting booth.

And I tend to think its a D thing more than a race thing even when it looks worse than this. This is math sh^t. Black folks vote D more than other races so stopping black ppl from voting helps R ppl win elections. Now look R ppl are of questionable racial beliefs on their best day lets not bs that part of it too so I'm not saying this isn't their beliefs lining up great for them either, but I believe in this case there is more upside to winning an election than being racist for the sake of racism.

Til R ppl get better ideas that ppl believe in or D ppl trend into worse ideas the move will be for D ppl to get more ppl voting & R ppl to get less ppl voting.

Look at NY with De Blasio, another white elected mayor who in the second term had so many controversies and still got elected. It is the message and the perception people vote for.

California is a ********ic state though.

and I still feel like Trump was the lesser of two evils even if I dont agree with that analogy in politics at all.

Sheeeeeet, the lesser of two evils is the main way I've thought about R vs D sh^t forever now.

It'd be nice if there was a party of common sense where mfers thought personal sh^t should be personal sh^t, we should take care of citizens in bad positions in life, we shouldn't let everyone move here from all around the world, guns need to be more carefully dealt with in society, if you wanna change your ***** into a **** maybe we should figure out your mental health situation over changing your ***** into a ****, companies should share their success more with workers giving their most valuable asset their time over shareholders so more ppl win in the US, violence crimes should be dealt with more harshly than personal choice drug crimes & etc common sense sh^t that should be obvious but all this R vs D bs gets ppl like the face & the heel in a WWE wrasslin match.

Yes but the primaries usually eliminate other choices.

Ok. I feel like it is a as *****.

                You don’t?

***** was always antagonistic to the black community before it became politically untenable.

Trump was sued by the dept of justice for discriminatory housing around the same time.

These were the choices for black people in the last election.

The election before that, Hilary, who called us super predators, vs Trump who ran on birtherism.

I can go on but hopefully this will be enough for you to reconsider my point.

Its not that I dont understand your point. I do.

But Trump literally ran on drain the swamp (both sides) and the swamp is the people who have traditionally marginalized the black community.

Even though Trump was sued that was common housing practices back then, Unfortunately. Its not like he was the only one doing it.

That was fake and phony. Come on MEGA.

He wasn’t trying to clean anything. He wanted his people elected so he could have an autocracy where the House and Senate didn’t provide a check and balance on the office of the President.

That in no way helps black people that have been marginalized.

He gave a black physician the job of House and Human Services, a job he was completely unqualified for.

What about his position against the central park 5? What about his hiring practices.

This isn’t something I say just to be argumentative.
