I use to coach a kids soccer team, I had this lil PR kid Yael on my team, I was invited to his party, they had a Mexican spanish speaking clown, the lil boy runs to the clown and says "quieres comer de mi biscocho?" the clown had a face of WTF

the little mex ladies (friends with the mom) told him "No, mijo, nosotros dicimos pastel"

    man it was priceless

see, I dont judge anyone with the words they use, but I learn from it

a lady from Chile was almost cussed out because she told the waiter "No seas pinche" which in Mex spanish is "no seas tacaņo" dont be cheap

          I defended her

i was a know it all 13 year old as a freshman, new to the DC area and i remember my first time talking to a salvadorean, and we literally couldn't understand one another. that interaction, that went south quick, fully evolved into gang activity over that year and my eventual expulsion from high school. best thing that happened to me-moved out to califaz.

            it's all love now.
