I know he is disliked by many boxing fans, including myself. Even I have to admit he deserves to be inducted into the IBHOF. What do you guys think?

Nearly!
His loss to Barrera and lack of comeback dent his credentials in alot of minds. He should have got his act together and prepared thoroughly for a rematch (he had a rematch clause!) before retiring, has he officially retired yet? He seems to be forever flirting with a comeback, but looks around the light heavy limit!
His behaviour outside the ring and subsequent jail sentence for running away from a car crash which left a man badly injured doesn't help either.
That said, he was one of the most tallented fighters in the 90s! He obliterated a number of ex champions and current champions, unified the belts, brought colour to the lower weight divisions and gave us some terrific, exciting performances. His peak was short lived 1994-1999 and many foreign fans only really got to see him from 1997 onwards which will probably mean that in alot of minds he was greatly unproven and to be honest his best form was 1994/95. But if you were British and a boxing fan in the mid 90s you were treated to many outstanding displays of speed, a unorthodox style, elusiveness and power. You could barely hit him with a bowl of rice! Also, was there ever a featherweight with more raw power? He had to be up there!

Eventhough he is a twat, he was one of the most exciting fighters ever, a great champion for 6 years, and was a huge draw. In fact he was a much bigger draw than Floyd Mayweather, because he was big in the UK and the middle east.
He was great for boxing, and is talked about more than most fighters who retired back then.

I love Arguello and he was definitely the better fighter, but Im not sure there was ever a featherweight with the one punch power of Hamed. I put a lot of stock into Manny Steward saying Naseem was the best puncher he ever worked with considering some of the names he's trained.
