This won't fly, as every boxing fan is aware ."coming off" means recently or latest".Not 7 years earlier!
Stop embarrassing yourself, grow a pair and just admit you got it wrong,as we all do from time to time.

      - - Every promoter is more aware of "coming off" and make quite a bit more $$$ off it than you ever did...priceless...

          - - On my worst day I'm better than you, so that drives you bonkers.

Jones finished out his career at the man who beat The Man in his day, and that's who Papp beat...read it and weep for thee burning snails...

You have yet again been exposed.
You make a statement get called on it,and have absolutely no recourse, and so you make up some idiotic pidgin baby talk, often ending with your punchline," priceless," and then parade around as though you have won a victory, like Achilles trailing the slain Hector behind his chariot.lol
It's mildly amusing Queenie, but absolutely unconvincing, and now eminently predictable.
You seem at times to be unaware you are just comic relief to the rest of us.

            Bless Your Little Cotton Sockies!

If you all are going to cloud things up with facts how can I possibly read half the posts on this board?

He still probably deserved the shot at the title.

Most European champions who have been given title shots didn't have a great number of wins over ranked (Ring) American fighters. It was usually enough to get a shot just by being the European Champion.

I'm not arguing whether he deserved a shot,I'm saying that he had gone as far as he was going to go.

That's quite correct, I went as far as I was ever going to go as a boxer never more than an in consequential a bottom feeder.

Now just two small requests Queenie. Would you kindly produce, the following?
A list, put together by a recognized boxing expert ,that has Papp in its middle weight top twenty?
                      No?
                      How about 30?

A list of the top ten middleweights Papp beat? It will be a very short one!

                      PRICELESS!!!!!
