How do you rank Aaron Pryor?

    I hadn't heard about that one. I remember reading about how Mancini's managment protected him and wouldn't put him in there with Pryor. Then again, they did put him in there with Arguello without too much experience.

    I know Pryor was supposed to fight Mamby, but ended up getting shot by his wife, and his manager got arrested for embezzlement.

    I don't know if it's true, but I read on another board that a big reason Pryor never got a shot at the LW title was because Ernesto Espana wanted the fight in Venezuela (where he actually never fought any of his title fights), and Pryor (or his management) refused to fight him there.

      He was an all action fighter that had great stamina. Sort of the second Henry Armstrong, in a way. I think he would clean out the division, today.

      The hawk will be on my top 3 greatest Jr.W. Most exciting boxer to watch at the time.very intense Heck he even Beat the young Hearns in the amateur!

        He's arguably the top jr welterweight of all-time, no worse than 3.
