How does any of this change the FACT Vits never sought a rematch? I swear, the simplest things just seem to magically escape you!! He did fight Brewster in a rematch. but that the only one I can think of. I would agree that Holmes and Wlad fought in a very weak era. I got into a discussion with a few boxing fans About Jerry Quarry. This guy did very well in a very tough era. But he's not in the HOF.

Can't really use this one since Brewster was off for 15 months after losing to Liakhovich, and was on medical suspension in the US for a detached retina. He wasn't half the fighter he wad in their first meeting.

Ps-if Vits was beating Byrd so decisively why was he being backed up by the much smaller and light hitting Byrd? Why did Vits only land 8 more punches in 9 rounds with all his advantages? Yes, TOTAL DOMINATION!!

He was winning the fight, but most of the rounds were close. If you watched the fight with the sound off you would have never known he was hurt. It is what it is. I'm of the mind a champion should try and redeem himself must
