Tyson vs Bowe
To me the guys that went the distance with mike were the guys that were elusive or clinched till the final bell.
Bowe would be neither of those and would be trading with Tyson as he traded with Holyfield
the thing with Tyson is that he had a much better defense and hit much harder then holyfield. so bowe wouldn't have been able to exchange with Tyson for long, definitely not till the final bell

Eh...I don't know about that. If Rid**** came in at his absolute best (big if, but for the sake of argument), he could keep Tyson at the end of his jab and land some tremendous right hands. Now Tyson (who's far from a lock to be at his best) would land some good body shots and he could knock Rid**** down. But this is the kind of fight, the kind of slugfest that would be less about physical gifts, which they both have in excess, and more about who could dig deeper and do what it takes to win. Who do you have more confidence to do that? Because I've seen Rid**** Bowe dig deep and win fights after he's been hurt - have you seen Tyson do that? Because I haven't. If he had trouble with a fighter, he started to fold as his confidence faded.

Duran only had two losses up to 147: DeJesus (which I'd say is the equivalent of Floyd's gift win over Castillo) and Leonard. No Leonards on Mayweather's record. If Mayweather tackled Benitez, Hearns, Hagler, Barkley and co at 154 and above his record would probably have a few more losses too.

As to 140lb fantasy fights, Henry Armstrong vs Aaron Pryor: two turbo-charged locomotives smashing into at each other at 100mph. Obviously Armstrong is the greater legend but in a one-off fight anyone can win. Who knows who wins but what a tear up it'd be.

I think there's little doubt that bowe has shown more guts and heart then Tyson. That's a very good arguement. But mike did have some trouble with Tillis, Tucker, and Rudduck. He definitely did get hurt by Rudduck and proceded to chop him down and stop him. I do agree that bowe has been known to dig deep more often.

The size difference would still be there, but Tyson would definitely still hold his own in the exchanges with his power and speed. Bowe wouldn't look to box or dance around like tucker or tillis did. That's why I think Tyson would have a much easier time. He would find bowe and eventually wear him down. A UD for Tyson is also likely because bowe would stay in there till the end.

Also something bowe would do is fight inside with Tyson instead of using his size and weight advantage to wear him down in the clinches. this gives Tyson more of a chance to score and hurt bowe more often.

It's still a very close fight. and like you said if Tyson starts to fade or lose confidence like he did in the holyfield fight then bowe has a huge chance to stop him in the same fashion.

Have to disagree. I love Chavez, but Pryor would be too much at 140. Chavez was really at his best at 130, 135 and Pryor was an animal. My first thought was that he would get stopped, but that's a little ******. I think that Pryor wins fairly convincingly, though. Awesome, exciting war though. Good pick.
