Also, there are several journeymen fights who fought quality opposition but were never floored. Heavyweights Leroy Caldwell, Marvin Stinson, Ross Puritty & Marion Wilson are examples.

Was Ernie Terrell & Chuck Wepner off their feet?
Strangely Ross Purity was knocked down twice and stopped very early in his career against Cleveland Woods. I had to hunt this down last night.

That's another good pick! I don't think he was ever down. Cuevas is one of my all-time top 5 fighters & I know that the Doc stopped their fight between rounds when Weston was on the stool. Weston had taken some shots in that fight!

There was a middleweight in the 80's named Randy Smith who lost 30-something fights, but was never stopped. He fought a lot of prospects, and went the distance with all of them, and none of them looked very good against him. His chin was good, but his survival instincts and just generally ugly style is what kept him from being stopped.

I am pretty sure he was never dropped....and that's impressive for someone who lost so much.

Pipino broke Weston's jaw, but didn't drop him.

Man that is an incredible statistic,.. All those losses and not a Knockdown,,,,, means all he did was swallow leather and he never goes down,,,,,,,,,,, an optimist for sure, and tough too.

When I knew a young prospect I liked was set to fight him......yikes.

Wasn't worried he would lose, but I knew the fight would suck!

Don't think Juan LaPorte was ever floored, either.
Villasana was tough man,.... Jeff Fenech smashed him for 15 rounds, a hell of a hiding. I think Marcos's legs wobbled a couple of times and he was holding on a lot,... but not once did his knees touch the canvas..... Haven't seen it in years, but I studied a lot of Fenech fights and that one really sticks. I think Jeff broke his hands (AGAIN) in that fight. he must have landed a thousand plus blows.

Didn't Trinidad drop him at least once?
