Bert Sugar was a con-artist.

It's interesting to know he had Dempsey #1. I am pretty certain why he made that pick and why he revised it.

I don't agree with it, per se; but Dempsey was easily the most talented Heavyweight. And his stardom is probably only matched by Sullivan's and Ali's. He was on par with Babe Ruth in his era, maybe bigger.

I have no issue with ranking Louis over Ali. I don't, but I can acknowledge that Louis was undeniably the best for over a decade. Ali might not have ever been the best while active. Not for a meaningful length of time.
