can you guys give me a list of your top 10 pressure fighters?

im talking about people like tyson who applied constant pressure and almost never takes a step back

Not an answer to thread, but..
Fighters that never take a step backwards?

I've only ever seen Provodnikov take maybe 3 steps backwards in his entire career after eating ten bombs in a row against a guy with 90% KOs to his name. Would've put any sane man into a coma.

        In no order...

        Joe Frazier
        Henry Armstrong
        Harry Greb
        Roberto Duran
        Julio Cesar Chavez
        Sam Langford
        Mike Tyson
        Dwight Qawi
        Jake LaMotta
        Aaron Pryor
        Rocky Marciano
        Kaiosi Galaxy (sp?)
        Ricky Barton
        Kostya Tszyu

There's a few names to throw in the mix and debate. Have fun. For me it's gotta be Armstrong at the one spot.

sure he did. tyson didn't want to get fully inside. he'd stay at the middle distance and off to one side hwere he could make you miss and then counter with his combinations.

tyson really wasn't a pressure fighter. he was a technician with a short body that required a short distance, but who wasn't as effective all the way inside.

the greatest pressure fighter of all time at HW was frazier. he got inside and worked the body at a huge cost. beat muhammad ali in 1971 with that style.

I'll throw **** Tiger in there.

Not really a pressure fighter per se more of a boxer puncher but when his gameplan was to pressure he was awesome at it.
