FAO Dr. Z (I know you still visit this forum despite being banned lol). Anyhow, I thought I'd let you know that an Indian boxer based out of Canada (Sukhdeep Chakria, 19-0) will be fighting for the IBO Super Welterweight World title next month. Although I DON'T particularly rate this belt or Chakria (which is why I wouldn't be surprised if he lost), it's still a very SOLID achievement for Indian boxing in addition to his top 15 ranking by the IBF, IBA Intercontinental, IBF International & Canadian Middleweight belts.

However, the reason I'm bringing this to your attention is because he's currently ranked #16 by your beloved BoxRec (just 15 spots behind Bud Crawford ). I know you 'get off' on BoxRec rankings and abide by them religiously so I just thought I'd let you know

Okay, let us know who wins the " IBO " super welter weight title. I know nothing about the two fighters except that Box Rec ranks Sukhdeop at # 17 and his smaller opponent Lima is at #35 in his weight class. Lima is very suspect based on his record. I do not religioisly abide by box rec rankings, rather I used them in a macro sense. I place a much higher value on ring magazine ratings.

Lol Z...welcome back you old dog (said with much RESPECT )! What happened and how have you been?

Re Sheeraz, apparently he pulled out of negotiations with Janibek and will now be fighting Adames for his WBC belt instead. I think it's a smart move and his BEST chance of becoming world champion because Janibek is simply too good.

Will do...I think that Sukh's record is inflated too as although he's beaten a lot of guys with winning records, most of their wins have come against rubbish fighters. Therefore, I think it'll be a 50/50 matchup and probably Sukh's toughest fight to date.

Also, even though I DON'T particularly rate the IBO belt, it's still a very SOLID achievement for Indian boxing (especially @ 154lbs) in addition to his #16 BoxRec ranking.

Do me a favour pls and watch Sukh's fight above (it's only 4 rounds) and give me Dr. Z's official fighter analysis. Cheers!

Lol busy with what exactly...investigating the downfall of American boxing or training the next 'Great White Hope' after Joey Dawejko & McKenzie Morrison (SON of the late Tommy Morrison) failed to live up to expectations?

Seriously though, what's your take on Sheeraz-Adames and Sukh as a fighter? I'm genuinely curious to know...

WTF are you talking about? I don't investigate the next great white hope, nor do I care about Joey Dawekjko or McKenzie Morrison . They are not even good enough to be old school hopes.

The match between Sheeraz and Adames comes down two two things. Sheeraz durability or lack thereof, and Adames defense and heart. I don't know enough about them to make a good prediction. If Adames engages him often I like him. If not, Sheeraz wil likely win on the outside. I slight favor Adames right now.

Lol just busting your balls Z...don't take it so seriously!

I AGREE with your assessment of the fight and believe that Sheeraz's jab, height and reach advantages should lead him to victory although Adames is a very good fighter and will definitely be Sheeraz's toughest test to date. However, I DON'T think you can question Sheeraz's chin anymore after he came through the Ammo fight unscathed.

Chins are best tested when hit. What blow did Ammo land in Sheeraz? Not one that was remotely serious. Therefore his boxing chin which I think is packing some glass and his wasp like body which I think is suspect ( fighter's built like him do not take body shots well ) remain untested.
