i thought you were not allowed to bet on something that you are taking part in?

not certain but i think its ok as long as u bet on yourself to win.
Anyway, its easy enough to get someone else to place the bet.

Holy s--t that looks like a bad ******** addiction if it's true.I've heard before he has a drink problem but the only difference between him and Scott Harrison is McGee can take a drink and leave it alone but Harrison can't.

I don�t see the betting scandal unless they want to suggest he is better than Hatton and intentionally lost and how can he control that the fight lasts the distance. That has more to do with Hatton than him. If he bet on a couple of rounds and took a dive fine. And I �m sure other fighter gamble on other fights regularly.

yeah i dont buy that either, if he beat Hatton he would've earned more money in the fights after that than betting on him losing (unless he did it as an insurance policy - very doubtful though). The odds on a Hatton decision win probably werent great. Hatton would've been faveourite to win (im guessing, i cant remember) and Magee has never been stopped.

But betting on Rogan to lose is a scandal if true. he was his assistant trainer at the time.
It does explain why Rogan left Breens gym.

I think he says he is a volunteer so he doesn't lose his income support! He'll be skimming some of the money they get there, at least the subs!
