well , yeah it was but these two will go nowhere outside the UK, lacking defense and killer instinct, they will be an easy victim for anyone in the top 50

oh yeah of course, they're only British level fighters but was a great fight. I'd like to see how Vassell would do against a Matthew Hatton or Michael Jennings. There's obviously no chance of a Vassell vs Brook fight as Hatton Promotions will probably never work with Frank Warren plus Brook would destroy Vassell at this stage.

yeah of course, but the thing is: great fights make great fighters. why is gatti-ward so amazing? cuz they were vulnerable, not perfect fighters, that were evenly matched. that made for great fights and stardom for the fighters. Vazquez - Marquez, same story. if these guys have more fights, they'll get more notoriety cuz of the awesome fights.

excellent fight, wasn't expecting much. It's about time Vassell got tested a bit and he came through

Good fight, had me on edge. Is it me or does Denton never really look for that killer blow to the head? he seems to focus more on body shots a little to much rather than land that perfect punch upstairs! Denton reminds me of a Tyson alike fighter, he's got that swagger about him, that bobbing weaving style technique.. not that he is anywhere near his level of course but his style just reminds me of how Tyson use to fight, up close & in your face style, and aggressive with killer body shots.. he's interesting to watch

im surprised purdy was still throwing punches in round 12,he took so many clean shots to the body throughout the fight, props to him

you could tell purdy expected vassell to weaken later on in the fight he said so himself afterwards, this seemed to affect him slightly as he was surprised at the heat deton kept bringing late on

it was a great fight and id like to see a rematch personally, purely for the entertainment value
