Top Rank is one of boxing's highest profile promotional companies, and have been so for many years.

So, they had better look after Shakur, who has the potential to become a huge star. If they don't promote him accordingly, then he'll leave just as Crawford did.

Mayweather also left and showed other star fighters how it's done, if you're essentially promoting yourself. Canelo is doing it, and Crawford is, well, figuring out how this works at the moment.

What is absolutely amazing is there were more people mad at Shakur then they were the pendejo PED user that did everything to avoid him.
He knows how to play off the intense racism of a certain nationality that seems to be threatened by black American fighters. He’s going to play off it just like Mayweather did, which will result in him getting viewers who will tune in in hopes of him losing. It’s a proven business strategy to manipulate the weak minded racists

and people have the indignation to criticise black American fighters for going with Haymon….

Arum is looking at it in terms of vegas and California only. Cities like NYC, Baltimore, Atlanta, Houston etc have already proven to be money making cities for black American fighters. Pbc has proven that. It’s a matter of demographics

Boxers should stop doing that since nowadays they'll just be illegally ******ing it.

I think that's what Arum is comparing who can make him more money each in their area. You gotta add cities like Phoenix and Texas cities to the CA cities and Vegas. Like I said Arum is no fool, he figures who can make more money Valdez vs Navarrete in LA, Vegas or even Dallas or Phoenix or Stevenson vs Navarrete some where in the east.

Its a matter of putting a Hispanic fighter in the opposite corner. Definitely wont sell down here in H-town w/o a Hispanic fighter in one corner. Its why David continues to fight an endless string of B-level Hispanic fighters.

I thought Shakur did great at controlling the entire fight and pissing off the fans. I wish he had done better at knocking his opponent unconscious, that could really upset a fan or two. Little jab heavy, too few combinations, he was noticeably bigger and should have got the stoppage. The jab and a few lefts did keep the face red, cut up, and scored a knockdown, just no KO. His power is still suspect to me. He skills are not suspect at all, he is one of the best doing it and will only get better.
