Comments Thread For: Golovkin: Canelo Will Take Our Fight More Seriously Than He Did Bivol

“I'm sure he's going to take it more seriously than when he faced Bivol. Against Bivol he was not taking it very seriously,” said Golovkin to The Los Angeles Times.
“To be honest, I wasn't paying much attention, I wasn't listening,” Golovkin said. “With his attitude he proved to be like someone of a lower level… he probably showed his true face. I was disappointed because he hasn't grown as a professional athlete."

That’s why canelo was able to come up from 140lbs to MW and beat him twice albeit the 1st fight was contentious and arguably won by GGG a draw wasn’t out of touch with reality. Bumlovkin coasted the 2nd half of that fight and gave it away he has no one to blame but himself and his team, the rematch he was soundly outboxed and beaten up. A great fighter needs at least one win against another great fighter to be considered great. GGG does not have that on his resume and never will
Canelo wasn't a 140 fighter. He turned pro in his early teens when other fighters would be in the amateurs during this time. They'd be lighter and smaller too if they turned pro in their early teens like Mexicans do. His first real weight was 154. Stop trying to lessen the defeat by coming up with illogical excuses for him.Oracle01

A freakin blind man could see canelo slackd the ****k off for the bivol fight but you delusional clowns can never think rational when it comes to canelo the hate overcomes you goofs.
Keep hating on canelo for no good reason that's all you guys are good for. He'll continue to bank off you clowns.
As for having this supposed knowledge on boxing... Do you stare at the lampshade when boxing is on instead of taking information in? Because you're ignorant and delusional if i may say so myself. Nearly everything you come out with is utter bollocks.

I love Canelo. He’s an elite fighter. But you’re acting like he’s the goat. He’s not. He started his career at 140. He’s a 4 division world champion. He also can’t beat bivol on his best day. There’s no shame in that. Bivol is top is the food chain at 175. I can’t think of one fighter that started at 140 and won multiple titles at 175. Can’t even think of one tbh. So ur assessment of “canelo slacked off” if just plain asinine. Go watch bivols whole career from the amateurs. He’s really really good. One of if not the best to come out of Russia at lhw. Him or beterbiev. Great fighters can’t overcome too much size and 175 is too big for canelo bless his heart for trying not many have the balls to attempt what’s he’s already accomplished. Look at bumlovkin scared to leave 160 one weight world champ
You should go through all the Light heavy champs and look at which weights they started at. You'd be surprised at how many there are that started in the lower weights.
Golovkin is fighting Canelo at 168. So how is he scared to leave 160?
