Let's just be honest. He should the the undisputed lightweight champion right now. And with Lopez, that fight should have at least been recorded as a draw with Lopez fighting him for a second time. Everybody was picking him to beat Lopez in the second go around but Lopez ducked him.

It's a bit of a tragedy really because some people will just look at the record without knowing the context behind everything. He was denied a monumental achievement because Nevada wants to create the next Floyd Mayweather in Devin Haney.

Boxing is an illusion, much like the WWE. You always have a heel and a face. You follow the script, and if you go off script, you get screwed. They see Devin as being someone who will bring in lots of money into the sport, especially in Vegas, where he's from. Nobody is going to let Devin lose unless they have someone lined up to replace him. Then Devin will be the heel, and we can start the charade all over again.

But in response to your question, real boxing fans and connoisseurs will know that Loma is one of the best in the history of the sport. He's a living legend at the moment. Most people considering him the real undisputed champ. Too bad it's "unofficial."

He's a maestro! His best weights were feather/ super feather. A much better fighter than his pro record may indicate. I have no idea wtf he was thinking against Lopez as he GAVE AWAY the 1st six rounds. IMO, he's gotten a little too enamored with his ability to out box/ run circles around his opponents and he doesn't bank rounds. I thought he lost against Ortiz for that reason, although, I wasnt scoring the fight as I watched.

Great fighter but started too late as many said. Mid 20s would be your prime in the lighter weightclasses. As a HW you can postpone the prime all the way to even 35 in some cases.
