That was fight of the year!
Tsutsumi said he lost his will during the fight, but his coach helped gim bring it back. At the end, Anaguchi needed help walking out….. War of attrition. The Big Dunn likes this.

For a quick reference...
Anaguchi is a 23 years old Bantam Japanese no. 3 ranked. Former amateur with good pedigree, an up and coming kid with bright future.
Tsutsumi is the Bantam Japanese no. 1 ranking champion who just turned 28 on Christmas Eve who just did his 4th defense of the title.
For Anaguchi it was his chance to become a Japan champ. For Tsutsumi who is on the world bantam rankings, a win was what approached him to a chance at challenging for the belt. Both were undefeated entering the bout, Anaguchi 6-0 and Tsutsumi 11-0
Also, the prize was insane for the guys at their level. Both got 5mil yen fight money and the winner another 5mil for total 10million yen, which is approximately four years worth of salary a Japanese champion (currently Tsutsumi) makes. Given that these guys in the top 10 of Japanese ranking work other part time jobs while training to make a living, essentially it was a dream ticket.
With Tsutsumi winning, he might get a chance to be a voluntary challenger to Takuma Inoue if he doesn't lose to Ancajas next February.

Damn good fight. Definitely a FOTY candidate.
In the RBR thread, I thought the 9th or 10th (can’t remember) was a ROTY candidate as well.
