Tank obviously knew the deal. Soon as he started to negotiate this would likely have happened.

this is hilarious. he knew loma didnt want to fight him so he didnt try? so then why did he try now??? trying to rewrite history i see. you dont go out in public saying "they are trying to make me fight loma!" if you want the fight. you say "i want to fight loma" he even ducked guys like alberto machado and tevin farmer. oh wait according to you its because they would have ducked him anyway! its the new excuse to explain away any ducking!

also tanks trainer even said loma didnt want the tank fight because of the money they offered him. so what did they offer him?

Davis coach, Calvin Ford, told the collapse was money-related due to Loma not being the A-side.I wasnt shocked, because in his career he usually be the one who gets the money. It wasnt enough that hed want it."

seems likely they simply lowballed loma like they do to all of tanks opponents. lets break it down.

            some of tanks recent splits

tank 81% to hector garcia 19%
tank 80% to rolly romero 20%
tank 80% to frank martin 20%
tank 66.5% to ryan garcia 33.5%

dont think offering loma 20 to 33.5 is going to get it done and that 33.5 split they offered garcia was generally seen as a huge concession by garcia and a bad deal. im sure tanks team was surprised they accepted it on top of all the weight draining measures tank put in place. normally that would kill the fight but garcia agreed for some reason. they arent going to get loma to accept a bad deal that's for sure. if you want a high level opponent you gotta pay them, especially a guy who just made 3.5 million in his last fight. loma is not going to accept 20 percent and probably not even 33.5 percent given his status, and also given how much tank is sure to make since tanks ppvs always range between 200-300k except the garcia fight who was his only big opponent which shows tank needs a big name to draw big numbers. if you want a fight you should act like ggg someone you hate. lets look at some of his splits to get fighters in the ring with him...

            ggg 58.5% to jacobs 41.5%
            ggg 57.5% to lemiuex 42.5%
            ggg 55.5% to geale 44.5%
            ggg 54% to macklin 46%

he also offered guys like quillin and saunders more than 40 percent of the purse to try and get them in the ring which they rejected.?br />
none of those guys "deserved" that much but ggg wanted the fight. now loma certainly "deserves" more than 33.5% but seeing as that is the highest amount tank has ever offered, its not really a surprise loma walked away. if tank offered something reasonable like 55-45 or even 60-40 and loma said no then yeah i think thats a duck, but since becoming a "big star" tank has never offered that so we shouldn't assume he has since all the evidence shows a history of lowballing and purse-plundering on his part. thats not going to work against a guy who makes 3 million a fight and has already had a long career. it might work against a young guy like garcia making his first big payday but loma knows the business.

you are the one talking about likelihood and probability so its likely tank didnt make loma a legit offer, just given the evidence of course. its possible loma would have ducked tank 5 years ago, just like its possible tank made loma a legit offer, not likely though. unlikely more like it

That certainly wasn’t what Tank and Mayweather were saying. Mayweather straight up said Tank wasn’t ready. For 7 years.

The undisputed champ said it would take $200 million to fight Benavidez -- more than five times Canelo's reported $35 million payout against munguia
Boxing/MMA are like the only sports where the athletes can get away with doing this.

The funniest part was the WBC pressing Benavidez on what he’s going to do next, AFTER he moved up to 175. Like “look we’re doing our job see? He left, he moved up, but we were totally going to force Canelo to fight him if he stayed at 168. Totally. We’re not corrupt at all.”

Did he say that for 7 years Kev or did he say it a couple times 7 years ago?
