You are regurgitating a theory you saw from another poster and are running with it because It sounds good to you. Then you throw in nmes of guys who didn't fight floyd because you think that makes the theory applicable. There is nothing you've seen in any floyd fight that suggests this theory would apply.
WHile the theory is a good one, you fail to mention the toll the counterpunching takes on the opponent and the toll throwing and missng takes. To use broner maidana as an example of what could happen in a floyd fight is silly but I get the point you are making.
My guess is if quintana/santos found ways to deal with them that floyd had a good chance of doing same.
Nope. I have been saying this for a very long time now. So you are wrong with that. Previously, some names that I threw out are P.Williams since with his right he would be able to go over Floyd's shoulder due to his height and reach advantage that smaller fighters don't have and also had the advantage of being a southpaw. Example, if someone like Canelo throws a right handed punch, it will deflect/hit Floyd's shoulder when he is using the shoulder roll defense. Williams is tall enough to "see" Floyd's head at all times when he uses that defense .... with BOTH HANDS actually.
Zab and others have shown that Floyd's defense is not bullet-proof. No defense is but some are more effective than others and dependent on the opponents style as well.
The toll countering has is legit but dependent on who is your opponent. Styles makes fights. If Floyd knows that another "effective punch" is coming his way, he is not as likely to throw his counter or at least not with that "toll" you speak of. Floyd counters when he knows that his opponent will more likely than not be in good position to get to his face and they instead hit arms, shoulder, ..... If Floyd gets hit effectively he will get into a shell and hope to withstand (block) the fire coming his way.
I used Maidana as he did it really well with BOTH HANDS but Castillo was also able to show it against Floyd.
"Take da test and we'll have a fight."
Now it's, "Leave Arum..."
Pac will leave Arum and this chicken will come up with something again.
What a joke.
After all the excuses Team Pac made, Floyd had realized Manny cannot make his own decisions unless they are approved by his promoter who has derailed negotiations with Pac's blessings from the beginning.
We all know that Floyd beat Cotto like 4-5 years too late. So, what was your point?
Mosley beat a Margarito that just got caught cheating and knew he was in some crazy deep sh$t load of trouble. Then was vacationing for 16 months until he became OLD, INACTIVE and couldn't win a fight if his life depended on it! So again, what was your point?
Frazier beat Ali. Norton beat Ali. Frazier and Norton always gave Ali a tough match. Foreman destroys Frazier and Norton. So, what was your point? Foreman vs Ali shouldn't have happened?
