It was their statement that opened the door to Ward, not the people.

Bhop had 20 title defenses at 160. Hagler stay at 160 his entire career.
Carlos Monzon. The list goes on.

Sergio Martinez is still the best middleweight until he is beaten.

Excuses Excuses Excuses. Either he's the most feared man at 160 or he isn't. You claim Quillin won't fight you. You claim Sergio won't fight you. You claim Sturm won't fight you. WHO ARE YOU WAITING FOR ???????????????????????????????????????? MOVE THE **** UP! These guys just want to stay at 160, stay undefeated and keep him from looking bad or losing against an opponent for as long as they possibly can, so that when they do decide to move up the Carl Froch's, Bika's, Dirrell's and Ward's will be long gone so they can give you these exact same excuses at 168. They're waiting for the threats to move up so that they can move up.

Lets face it, Sturm and Quillin are bums, I dont really care to see GGG fight either. He should wait for the winner of Cotto-Martinez and try to get that fight.
But if not he could move up to 168 where there would be plenty good (and potentially bigger money) fights for him

Hagler would have been trolled to death today.
