Does Lucas Matthysse deserve a rematch with Danny Garcia?

Brandon Rios gave Mike Alvarado another shot, so why can't Garcia give Matthysse another shot?

Props to fighters like Alvarado and Shane Mosley who give rematches with no problem. Garcia better not puss out.

Garcia has 1 fight left at 140, why not fight the best guy there? One thing i hate is relinquishing a lineal title as well making his belts vacant, which will most likely be picked up by undeserving fighters.

Herrera deserves a rematch. Lucas not so much. His eye closing was the turning point but this is boxing and it happens. Gotta deal with it. I would like to see it again but I can't say Lucas has to get a rematch. IMO Herrera is the guy that has to get one.

Garcia didn't want the Lucas fight in the first place -- Floyd and Schaefer wanted it and they got it for the 2013 September card... If Floyd wants the rematch, he will get the rematch on his 2014 September card... a.s.o...

Lucas DESERVING a rematch is some of the most corniest **** in the air atm....Herrera is that cat that DESREVES another walk through hell....Lucas got beat in a good close fight....noone disputes that outcome....but Herrera got dudes saying he won so I guess that's a good enough reason to do a sequel

I would argue Herrera 'deserves' it more, given that he probably won his fight with Garcia. Stylistically Herrera is a tougher test for Danny, and it's a black mark on his record that he needs to erase if he wants to leave 140 with no question marks.

That said, I'd have no problem with the Matthysse rematch and I wouldn't say that Lucas is undeserving of it. So it's really a question of who else Danny fights. If he doesn't face Herrera, it should be Matthysse. If he doesn't face Matthysse, it should be Herrera.

If they really are lining him for Floyd then it's more likely to be neither, but of the two it would probably be Matthysse. Win or lose against Herrera he's unlikely to look good.

Herrera deserves it more.If Lucas beats Herrera then sure but Danny beat Lucas fair and square it was close but Danny no doubt won whilst Herrera deserved to beat Danny
