Comments Thread For: Kessler Open To Facing Ward, Golovkin, Froch, Groves

Mikkel Kessler is set to make an announcement about his career at a press conference on Wednesday. The former super-middleweight champion has not fought since losing a rematch to Carl Froch last May.

Some believe the 35-year-old will call time on his glittering career which has been hampered in recent years due to injuries. However, Danish newspapers claim the 'Viking Warrior' will instead continue his career with several possible fights within reach.

I would accept any of those fights but to accept the Ward rematch, it would have to be in Viking land.

Kudos to calling out Golovkin, wouldn't want to see Froch-Kessler again and would like Groves left open for a Ward fight.

          Kessler-Golovkin
          Groves-Ward

          Make it happen!!!

I think Kessler vs GGG would be good. Also think he's saying Ward just to say it because it was such a one sided thrashing, it just doesn's seem like they want that again..Sorta like Donaire acting like he wants Rigo again..

I think he should call it a day, but since he apparently does not I reckon it'll be Kessler vs the Froch-Groves winner in the autumn. Kessler has a return option on Froch.

Forget Ward. He has priced himself out of a fight in Denmark. He demands funnymoney to leave jOakland.

GGG would be a great fight. It would not be as sellable in Denmark as a fight with either of the brits (or Ward).

Don't care about a Ward rematch at this point, but any of the other fights would be interesting.
