They'd both beat Cotto. Cotto never wanted anything to do with Paul Williams for one. Cotto has lost most of his big fights except against Mosley. The reason Sergio hasn't fought a supposed Class A fighter is because they've avoided him

I like Paul Williams but people on this forum make him seem like some boogie man when he wasnt.

His best win was against an aged Wink Wright.

why is it a given that he would beat a skilled fighter like Cotto?

Because Cotto in my opinion is a better puncher and a great inside fighter, I'd pick him to win. He did not apply the same type of pressure as Margarito who even though he was 5'10 had the exact same reach as Cotto which helped him land shots on the inside that I don't think Paul would have.

That's what makes it a diva move , meaning if you don't agree there's no fight. Martinez had no choice but give in to Cotto's demands otherwise there would be no fight. This applies to all fights where there a clear "A side" , B side has to give in to any Diva demands if they don't want to jeopardize the fight.

As long as Cotto is not roiding up like marquez and Manny, he is a TRUE champ. Besides, I have a feeling Sergio has found the PEDs long ago

If I'm not mistaken, Sergio never has a hard time making weight and he's always around that range anyway. I think it's more of Cotto showing his negotiation power and using mind games getting to Sergio...which seemed to work since he's calling him a diva now.

He did - against Quintana - Cotto's step son. Quintana put a 10-2 clinic on him. The rematch was just a quick blitz. I put more weight on the 12 round demolition than a quick blitz.

But I do give Williams credit in the first Martinez fight - it was a war
