Comments Thread For: Chavez Jr. Hopes Issues Can Solved For Froch Fight

As was the case earlier this year, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (48-1-1, 32KOs) and Top Rank are holding ground on certain aspects on a proposed deal to face WBA/IBF super middleweight champion Carl Froch on January 24th.

Chavez owes one more fight to Top Rank, and once completed the Mexican star will become a free agent. When Top Rank tried to make a fight between Chavez and Gennady Golovkin, their talks hit a wall after Chavez rejected any deal which included a contract extension. Top Rank did counter with modified a offer for a single fight with no future options, but Chavez was unhappy with the money.

Arum is putting Chavez out to pasture unless Chavez bites the bullet and takes the low sum for the fight.

Seems so simple to understand. You stay with the company, you get big money, you leave, you don't get as much.

Which issues dude? The same ones you used to duck Golovkin? Stop fronting you phony. I am starting to dislike Chavez. Stop being a greedy sissy, sign your life over to Arum and let's get it on. Until then, you are another chicken in my eyes.

The flip-side for Top Rank is that the company doesn't get anything at all if Chavez doesn't fight.

Well, they at least have that one fight he's obligated to them... and if they think he's going to leave... they're going to set him up with somebody that benefits them.
