Comments Thread For: Wilder: Time For Stiverne To Give His Crown To The King!

The date of October 1st is drawing closer. The World Boxing Council scheduled a purse mandatory bid for next month, for the fight involving WBC heavyweight champion Bermane Stiverne (24-1-1, 21KOs) and mandatory challenger Deontay Wilder (32-0, 32KOs). The two sides have yet to reach an agreement.

Wilder is a feared puncher, but untested against a higher caliber of opponent and he's never gone beyond the fourth round. Stiverne can also punch and has fast hands.

If Schitvern just gives his crown to Haye then WildTurd will NEVER have a chance to be a belt leaser.

I hope Stiverne gets him. Much more respect for Bermane.

I don't care if King is hesitant to risk his crown achievement to the risky fight with Wilder for now. When it actually happens, Stiverne is still the favourite. He is a slow starter and hittable for Wilder too but cagey enough to minimise the early assaults effect and durable enough to handle it too, unlike his other competition to date.

I know Wilder can't beat Haye (if he appears) or Wladimir for the goods, but Stiverne has a very decent shot at either of those.

Wilder looks/fights like an NBA player someone trained for a celebrity boxing match for 2 months. If he beats Stiverne the real loser is Chris Arreola.
