I don't see why that comparison is so far fetched. Froch has had his back against the wall more times than Hearns had, and won, whereas Hearns lost most of the times - arguably to better fighters, yet that shouldn't take away from Froch's achievements.

Depends how you define ATG but no, he would need to at least be No.1 in his weight class

He'll probably get in the HOF.

No not even HOF, and you campare him to hearns?! Tommy is the first man to win 5 titles in 5 different division, one of the best WW who fight in WW best era, produce 3 FOTY and multiple nominations, has resume full of ATG and HOF, has one of the most lethal weapon in boxing (his righthand and flicker jab), multiple exciting rivalry through-out his career.

Really?? you compare Froch with Hearns??

lol, you're kidding yourself. Froch is clearly a first ballot, maybe second ballot hall of famer.

Adrien Broner also won belts in 3-4 divisions or whatever it is. Who did he beat?

Hearns is undoubtedly a great fighter, in terms of quality wins I'm just asking why it's so far-fetched to compare him to someone who has stacked up an impeccable resume 15 world title fights on the spin, incl. beaten multiple past, current and future champions.

Hearns has a good resume: Cuevas at 147, Duran at 154, Benitez at 154, Andries, Roldan, and Virgil Hill at 160 to 175.... Maybe should have had Ray Leonard as well.

I just don't feel like it's definitely better than Froch. And if it is, it's not out of his stratosphere..
