Cotto actually PAID his dues when I think about it. When he was Canelo's age he was FIGHTING EVERYBODY. Canelo is 26 and is already ducking lol. I will be rooting hard for Cotto on this one. **** Canelo and his coward ass.
WAR COTTO!!! Thanks to Canelo for bringing the Rican out of me. I want Cotto to STOMP HIS ASS DOWN TO THE ****ING GROUND!!!

There's a lot of extremes on both sides. But the truth of the matter is made up of a bunch of irrefutable facts.
1. Cotto was fighting much better competition at each stage of his career (10th, 20th, 30th fight, etc) than Canelo. By a long shot.
2. Cotto is much more the accomplished boxer than Canelo. Witness their common opponent Floyd. Cotto gave Floyd all he could handle, in the best fight we've seen involving Floyd in the past few years, including the Pac fight. Canelo was shut out in the most embarrassing way possible, pointing out the fact that Canelo did not belong in the ring with Floyd.
3. Cotto and Canelo can both be accused of being reluctant to fight GGG. But at least Cotto has an excuse. He's almost too small for 154, never mind 160. GGG is a true MW. Canelo, on the other hand, is full of excuses right now, giving his supporters fits. But the truth of the matter is that Canelo is a full-blown MW, maybe even bigger. His only excuse for not wanting to fight GGG is that he's scared, plain and simple.
4. Canelo is younger, fresher, and bigger than Cotto. Common sense dictates Canelo should be favored in the fight. But he's going to have to contend with Cotto's superior boxing skills... and his great offensive arsenal. I'm not ready to bet the house on Cotto... but it's gonna be a great, fireworks-filled fight.

2.- Triangle theories dont work, use Trout as an example then..
3.- Cotto is the one walking around and calling him self the MW champion, canelo is not interested in 160 right now, but GGG can have his whooping at 155...
4.- Canelo is the favorite on this fight, no doubt about it, still should be a great fight..

1. Don't use ages... the convenient measuring stick used by all Canelo fans. Canelo began fighting pro at 15. Cotto began at 21. Your professional record is your RESUME. Which means if someone sees 40-0 next to Canelo's name, they're going to assume he's really THAT good, rather than realize he fought 40 bums in his backyard before they fed him someone good. Meanwhile, Cotto was fighting good competition early, and in the States. No comparison.
2. Styles make fights. Doesn't change the facts I laid out in my original post. Cotto gave Floyd a great fight..... Canelo embarrassed himself.
3. If Canelo beats Cotto, he'll call himself the MW champion.... so your point is? Offering GGG a whooping at 155 is cowardly for someone who walks around at 175. But whatever....

2.-canelo was only 22 when he fought floyd at a CW, and you still continue to dismiss the trout fight for your triangle theories..
3.- If canelo keeps the belt after beating cotto then he must fight GGG at 160, but he said he is coming back to 154, so he is not planing on doing the belt hostage at CW like cotto did, the GGG fight can happen with or without the belt on the line, no need for a commission to force it...
and by the way it doesnt matter how big you walk around, the only weight that matters is the one you make on the scale 24 hrs before the fight...
its all good my friend, on November 22 the world will know who is the best of these two, no excuses....
