I remember when there used to be so many Lucus fanboys, their master plan used to be; beat Garcia then move on to Mayweather, and then become the next big thing in boxing. How times change.

There is nobody even close to being able to beat Mayweather, at LEAST at 154 and under. I'm not even sure GGG would beat him, and I'm a huge fan of how he cuts off the ring and controls distance. But Floyd controls the ring. To beat him, you have to reach him and land on him -- not once, but many times. No current fighter can do it. He would easily choose his shots against Matthysse and outpoint him at leisure. He would see everything Matthysse was bringing long before it arrived, and he'd have an answer for it every time.
Rewatch the Canelo fight. A very promising competitor -- an up and comer -- was unable to do anything whatsoever.
