Surely an announcement by Floyd is imminent?

Also, im not American so i don't know much about this but are ESPN and Showtime/CBS affiliated in any way?

If not, would they announce a Floyd/Showtime event on ESPN?

Unless PBC are just paying them for their airtime, in which case they will announce future PBC events no matter what station, assuming Floyd's last fight is part of PBC.

It'll be either Berto or Mayfield, I can't see Floyd fighting Khan because he had quite a bit of trouble with an old, battle-weary Maidana, when Khan beat a prime Maidana more convincingly than Floyd.

That Maidana fight was basically Floyd testing himself against a previous Khan opponent to see whether he should risk a fight with Khan so as a result, it's way too risky for Floyd.

Pretty sure Floyd ducks for the 4th time, obviously by now no one will be surprised in the slightest (although I'm sure many will try to deny the ducking as usual).

ESPN is owned by The Walt Disney Company in conjunction with the Hearst Corp. I don't think there is any affiliation with CBS, NBC, etc. As a sports broadcasting network, they would announce a Floyd fight but it would likely already be known through some type of social media network like Twitter or Facebook before any TV station knew about it. ESPN would know about it very quickly though.......Fat Dan.

Mostly because a few weeks ago, Hearn was doing a lot of talking about Brook fighting Rios or other names and giving out rough dates of when Kell will be fighting. Since then everything has become incredibly quiet about Kell Brook, the Rios fight seems dead in the water and Brook was due to be fighting around the same time as Floyd, maybe even the same date so surely we would be hear rumblings of an announcement from his team too regarding his next fight

The fact everything has gone quiet makes me think there's a chance there has been negotiations going on and Hearn has been told to stay quiet, because Floyd is the guy that makes the announcements.

Of course, i'm probably completely wrong. If Floyd does want to go out on a good fight and name, i think it might be Brook.

            Hopefully....
